Creating actions in CAPA

This article leads you through the creation process of an action - be it a CAP, Corrective or Preventive Action.

How to create an action?

  1. Click "Add new".

  2. Select the responsible company. Note that you can select either your own company or one of your network companies. Depending on your selection, the action will either appear in the "My own" or "Collaborating" tab in your overview.

  3. If your company is on the CAPA Advanced Plan, you can add further network companies as collaborators.

  4. Select the action type.

  5. Give the action a title.

  6. Select the impact area.

  7. Select the source type and the according source.

  8. Add a start and due date.

  9. Add a reporter and assignee.

NOTE: Please note that depending on which type you choose the following steps look a bit different!

If you choose the action type "CAP":

  1. Give the CAP a bit of context by entering a description.

  2. Attach any files you and your collaborators might need for fulfilling the CAP.

  3. Click save and you are done.

If you choose the action type "CA" or "PA":

  1. Select the status.

  2. Select the urgency.

  3. Describe what the action is about the description field.

  4. See if you want to give further information in one of the additional fields.

  5. Attach any files you and your collaborators might need for fulfilling the action.

  6. Click save and you are done.
