5. Navigating the node content

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Within a node, there are many insightful data points (e.g. facility process, tier level) and functionalities (inviting collaborator, adding supplier, + icon). Learn more about those in this article.

Data points

Facility process(es)

The defined facility process(es) of the mapped company are displayed right below the company name. Depending on which production steps those belong to, they are shown in distinct colors.

Tier level

Only if the relational information is defined for the mapped company, the tier level is shown. For the below example, it is missing for Fabric Demo Company, while it has been defined for Fabric ABC Company being Tier 2.

Also important to note that the tier level is only visible to the creator.

Functionalities

Connect(ed) as a supplier

Along with the continues mapping, it may happen that companies will be added that are not part of your network yet. If this is the case, the node will show a white link icon meaning that this company is not your network partner yet. While a network partner can be identified by a green link icon (= connected as a supplier).

In order to make such a company your supplier, simply click the white link icon (= connect as a supplier) and confirm the connection.

Aside from being able to map supply chains by either linking companies and/or pasting existing supply chains, the + icon within a node entails more functionalities. Learn about those in the next section.

Replacing company

Via the + icon within a node, choose the option "Replace company".

It is important to double-check if the correct node will be replaced. Note that this action will remove the current company and it's collaborator access from the supply chain (if applicable).

Deleting node and all upstream links

Via the + icon within a node, choose the option "Delete node and all upstream links". Be aware that this action will remove not only the selected company but also all upstream links and associated collaborators. Thus, double-check the selected node.

Updating the facility process

Via the + icon within a node, choose the option "Edit facility process". Change the facility process of the node's company by either removing current or adding new ones.
