Aside from digitalizing your supply chains with the Retraced Traceability module, you can simply map your supply chains collaboratively with your network partners. Find out below, how to visualize and manage your supply chains.
Important to note: Supply chain mapping is a toggled feature meaning it needs to be activated for your company. For this, reach out to your CSM or to the support team via the ? Icon in the platform.
Creating a supply chain from scratch
Via the Traceability > Supply Chain Mapping > Supply chains tab in the left navigation bar, click the blue "+ Add supply chain" button at the top of the table.
Name your supply chain and select your company's facility process for this specific supply chain. Click "Create".
There are two options to continue mapping your supply chain - either by linking new companies (see step 4) or by pasting an existing supply chain (see step 5). Both options are available via the blue "+" icon in your company node. Note that for linking companies, make sure that your lower tier suppliers are part of your network. To be able to paste a supply chain, at least one must be mapped prior.
For linking companies, select the option "Link companies". In the first step, (multi) select all companies that shall be directly linked to your company. Click "Continue".
In the second step, confirm the facility process(es) of the selected companies. Click "Map".
For pasting a supply chain, select the option "Paste existing supply chain". Now, select the respective supply chain from the dropdown. If you would like to paste only the connected nodes into your supply chain, turn on the toggle. If kept toggled off, the root node of the pasted supply chain will be added. Lastly, click "Paste".
Now your supply chain has been mapped further. You can continue to do so yourself following the above approach or you can invite your suppliers to collaborate. For the latter, check out this guide.
Other helpful functionalities
Zooming in/out
With bigger supply chains and supply chains facing downwards, you may want to take a look at specific nodes. For this, use the zoom in/out function in the bottom left corner of your diagram view. Alternatively, use your mouse pad.
Dragging of nodes
It is possible to move nodes with the diagram. Simply click and hold a node and drag it. However, note that the new node placements are not locked.
Applying filters
If you would like to view specific suppliers, countries and/or facility processes within a diagram, feel free to use the filter function. Once applied, the respective nodes will be shown in grey.
