4. Navigating the node content

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Aside from the + icon and the possibility to invite collaborators, a node can contain many other insightful data points and functionalities such as the facility process, tier level and supplier status. Learn more about those in this article.

Facility process(es)

The defined facility process(es) of the mapped company are displayed right below the company name. Depending on which production steps those belong to, they are shown in distinct colors.

For the below example, both facility processes CMT and Finished goods trader are shown in red reflecting the production step Manufacturing. While Fiber dyeing is a process of Raw material processing (green), Brand falls under Retailer (grey).

This categorization is reflected in the production step legend. It is found as an eye icon in the bottom left corner of the diagram.

In case, the wrong facility process has been selected, it can be updated via the + icon. Here, choose the option "Edit facility process".

Tier level

Only if the relational information is defined for the mapped company, the tier level is shown. For the below example, it is missing for Blue Sky Company, while it has been defined for Amazing Apparel being Tier 1.

Also important to note that the tier level is only visible to the creator.

Connect(ed) as a supplier

Along with the continues mapping, it may happen that companies will be added that are not part of your network yet. If this is the case, the node will show a white link icon meaning that this company is not your network partner yet. While a network partner can be identified by a green link icon (= connected as a supplier).

For example, Zipper Demo Company is part of Excellent Fashion's network, while Fantastic Quyen is not.

In order to make such a company your supplier, simply click the white link icon (= connect as a supplier) and confirm the connection.

However, if you would like to remove the company from your network, refer to this guide.

Expanding/collapsing upstream nodes

For visualization purposes, you can either expand or collapse upstream nodes. Both functionalities are available via the grey [Number] dropdown in the bottom right corner of a node if upstream nodes are linked to it.

For below example, two nodes have been linked to Fabric Demo Company and are visible in the diagram.
