Set-up of a product/component profile

Find out which product attributes can be added in the Retraced platform.

Updated over a month ago

Note that depending on your facility process(es), you are limited in creating certain product types. Find out what your product/component catalogue looks like in this overview.

How to enter a product profile?

In general, your products and components are found in the left navigation tab under "Products". To enter a product profile and see more details, click on the product name. Tip: If you have a large product library, use the filter to search for a specific product.

Which product tabs exist?

Each product profile is set-up by the following tabs that will be explained in more detail below:

Overview

This tab includes product attributes such as the name, code, description, vendors, suppliers, available colors and sizes as well as the material composition and product images. All these data points can be edited at all times - either manually via the pencil icon (=edit function) or in bulk using the bulk importer.

Supply Chain

Each product can be linked a to mapped or traced supply chain. Before selecting the supply chain, make sure that it has been mapped or traced. Learn more here.

BOM

The list of components that make up a product can be added via this tab. The components are added via the pencil icon under section C and must be created prior in the components tab. Learn more here.

Eco Footprint

Sustainability related product information can be added in this tab. Available data points refer to the material composition (including recyclability) and consumer life stage (including packaging, transportation, usage).

Badges

Badges are awarded as end-consumer translations of all supply chain information, materials in a product, and good sustainable practices. Learn more here.

Webshop Preview

Wonder how the Retraced widget will be looking like in your web shop for a specific product? This tab will show you a glimpse.

QR Code

We offer two options of supply chain and product data visualization. While QR codes are offline and can be attached onto your products directly (e.g. on the washing label, on the packaging), the webshop components are online and visible on the product details page. Learn more here.

Certifications

Your products can be linked directly to product-level and transaction certificates. Additionally, based on those, certain badges will then be automatically triggered.
