Introduction: Bill of Materials
Updated over a year ago

How is the Bill of Materials defined?

The Bill of Materials, also called BOM, is a complete list of all components/materials with corresponding quantities that are required to create a product. For example, for clothing it could be threads, buttons, zippers and fabric that are needed to manufacture a jacket. In short: A BOM is essential for every production order as it clearly indicates which components/materials are required and how they are assembled.
