Distinguishing between collaborating and my own CAPAs

This article explains the structure of the CAPA feature.

Why does retraced differentiate between collaborating and and my own CAPAs?

CAPA is a task management tool structured by the action types (Actions & Action Plan) and the responsible company. There are two hierarchy levels:

Actions (CA/PA)

Corrective and preventive actions are the actual tasks to work on.

Plan (CAP)

A plan links actions together, e.g. all the findings from an audit or all the tasks that need to be done for LkSG report to the Bafa.

We distinguish between actions in which a company collaborates and in which they are responsible for fulfilling and implementing the tasks in their company. This is visualized in the two tabs 'My Own' and 'Collaborating':

My Own

Collaborating

So, it means that 'My Own' comprises all CAPs and actions in which you are the responsible company. This can also be CAPs and actions in which others are collaborator or which others have created for you. The 'Collaborating' tab shows all CAPs and actions that you have created for others - i.e. you are the creator, and another company is the responsible company - or in which you have been added as a collaborator.

In short: the difference between these two tabs is the responsible company.
