Connecting your SLCP Assessment to Retraced

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

If you've completed an SLCP assessment and want to use that data within Retraced, you can connect your SLCP facility ID to import and manage your verified SLCP assessments easily.

👉 Reminder: you must share your assessment with Retraced on the SLCP Gateway first before it appears in the SLCP tab in Retraced. Check out SLCP's help center article to learn how.

What is SLCP?

SLCP (Social & Labor Convergence Program) is an international initiative jointly promoted by the global apparel, footwear, and textile industries. Its purpose is to reduce duplicate social responsibility audits and establish a unified, shared, and credible system for collecting social and labor data.

SLCP is NOT a certification. It is a framework used for data collection and verification — the CAF (Converged Assessment Framework).

Core Goals of SLCP

  1. Reduce duplicate audits
Factories are often audited repeatedly by multiple brands using different standards, wasting significant resources. SLCP allows everyone to use one unified format.

  2. Improve data quality and consistency
All data is collected and verified using the same structure and process, making it more reliable.

  3. Increase factory ownership and control
Factories can decide which brands they want to share the data with.

  4. Shift resources from repeated inspections to real improvements
The aim is to drive actual improvements, not just compliance audits.

What the CAF (SLCP Assessment Framework) Includes

  1. Self-Assessment / Data Collection
The factory completes a standardized questionnaire.

  2. Verification
Third-party verification bodies verify the authenticity of the data, but this is not a traditional audit. They do not issue pass/fail conclusions, nor do they provide scores.

  3. Data Hosting & Sharing
The completed assessment is uploaded to approved platforms such as:

    • Wordly

    • Inspectorio

    • Retraced

The factory can authorize brands to access the data.

Relationship Between SLCP and Retraced

Retraced is an official SLCP data hosting platform. As a passive host Retraced offers brands to:

• Identify which factories in their supply chain have SLCP assessments
• Request suppliers to download and share SLCP assessments from the SLCP Gateway directly with the API between SLCP and Retraced.
• Centrally manage SLCP verified data on the platform

• Streamline their CAPA process with AI extraction of findings and action suggestions
• Manage SLCP alongside other compliance documents for better supply chain transparency

For brands, Retraced is an integrated management tool, and SLCP is an important data source within their compliance ecosystem.

Industry Status

• Many global brands (e.g., Nike, PVH, C&A, Decathlon) already require or widely use SLCP
• Thousands of factories complete the SLCP CAF each year
• It is becoming the industry’s unified standard for social responsibility data

How to connect your SLCP assessment to Retraced?

Step 1: Add Your SLCP Facility ID

  1. In the navigation bar on the left, go to Vendor Compliance > SLCP tab.

  2. Click the “Add Facility ID” button.

  3. Enter your SLCP Facility ID and click “Share ID.”

If you enter an incorrect ID, you’ll see a message explaining it’s invalid, with an option to update it.

If valid, you’ll be reminded to share your SLCP assessment with Retraced via the SLCP Gateway.

Alternatively, add your SLCP Facility ID in your profile directly

  1. Go to your company profile and navigate from the General information tab to Other IDs in the left menu.

  2. Scroll down and enter your SLCP facility ID.

  3. Scroll back up and click Save Changes.

Step 2: View Your SLCP Assessments

Once your assessment is shared, go back to the SLCP tab under Vendor Compliance in your navigation bar to see:

  • Company name

  • Assessment ID + CAF version

  • Issue date

  • Privacy status

  • Actions (Sync, Download, Archive)

In some cases, we enter the SLCP ID for certain companies in advance, if we already know it. Once you activate Retraced in the Gateway and then log in to Retraced, it can happen that the assessment doesn’t appear immediately.

In this case, simply click “Refresh” to update the view. After that, the assessment should be displayed correctly.
