Editing Order Information

Need to update information like order number, delivery date or supplier? Learn how to make changes to your existing orders.

Prerequisite

❕The orders you can edit depend on the creator of the order:

✔️ Created by you or another user of your company: you can edit it.
✖️ Created by another company: you will need to ask that company to edit it.

To check who created an order, go to Traceability → Orders, open the order with the View icon and look at Created by at the bottom of Order information on the ‘Overview’ tab.

How to edit an order

Go to Traceability → Orders and open the order with the View icon. On the ‘Overview’ tab, click + Add or hover over a value and click the pencil to edit it. Changes are saved directly.

👉 You can edit information such as the PO number, dates, products or facility process even if the purchase order is linked to a sales order. Only the supplier can’t be changed this way, see below.

You can also open a purchase order from a sales order you received: on the ‘Tracing’ tab, click the connecting line between your company and your upstream supplier, then click the PO ID in Transaction Details.

Changing the supplier of a purchase order

❕You can only change the supplier of a standalone purchase order. If the purchase order is linked to a sales order, unlink it first.

  1. Unlink the purchase order from the sales order. See Removing a purchase order (PO), section “First, verify if this PO is linked to any SOs”.

  2. Go to Traceability → Orders → Purchase Orders and open the purchase order with the View icon.

  3. On the ‘Overview’ tab, hover over the supplier and click the pencil. Select the new supplier, then check the supplier’s facility process.
