Product Mapping

Product Mapping allows brands and suppliers to work together to build product-level supply chain maps.

Brands can invite suppliers to contribute directly to a product map, making it easier to collect supply chain information and maintain accurate product data.

Product Mapping is designed to support Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiatives by helping brands gather product-level supply chain information without requiring the documentation and verification process used in Order Tracing.

When should I use Product Mapping?

Use Product Mapping when you want to:

  • Build product-level supply chain maps

  • Collaborate directly with suppliers

  • Collect information for Digital Product Passports (DPPs)

  • Manage supply chain information across multiple products

If you need to collect compliance evidence or traceability documentation, use Order Tracing instead.

How does collaboration work?

Brands can invite suppliers to contribute to specific parts of a product map.

Suppliers receive an email and in-platform notification, complete the requested information, and submit their work for review. Brands can then approve the submission or request changes.

This allows supply chain information to be provided by the suppliers who know it best, while brands maintain oversight of the completed product map.
