A product story must be activated in order to:
Display the DPP via QR code
Show the DPP in your webshop widget
Important: A product story can only be activated if the product is linked to a mapped or traced supply chain.
Story Active and the Product Hierarchy
Retraced products are structured as:
Style → Variant → SKU
The “Story Active” toggle is controlled independently per level.
This means:
Activating a Style does not automatically activate its Variants or SKUs.
Activating a Variant does not automatically activate its SKUs.
Each level must be activated intentionally.
Important for webshop integrations: Most webshops request SKU-level data. If only the Style is activated, the DPP may not appear in the webshop.
How to Activate Product Stories
You can activate product stories in bulk or individually.
Option 1 – Bulk Activation
Go to My Styles in the left navigation.
Select the products you want to activate.
Click the “Activate stories” icon.
Note: Bulk activation applies to the selected level only. If you activate Styles, Variants and SKUs are not automatically activated.
Option 2 – Activate One by One
Go to My Styles in the left navigation.
Locate the relevant Style, Variant, or SKU.
Toggle “DPP Story” in the product overview table.
You can also activate the story from within the product detail page in the DPP tab.
Before Activating
Make sure:
A supply chain (product map or traced supply chain) is linked.
All required DPP data is complete.
Badges are recalculated if certificates were recently added.
If no supply chain is linked, the Story Active toggle cannot be enabled.
