Claim your badges (NEW)

Learn how to claim product and company badges in Retraced.

Updated over a week ago

Note that approved and valid certificates of your own company and suppliers may automatically trigger certain badges. In these cases, manual badge claiming is not required.

Badges are always awarded at a specific product level (Style, Variant, or SKU). They are not automatically inherited across levels.

How to Claim Product Badges

You can claim badges either at company level (for all products) or at product level (for specific products).

Via Product Page (Applies to Selected Products)

If you want to claim a badge for a specific Style, Variant, or SKU:

  1. Go to “Products” in the left navigation.

  2. Open the relevant product (Style, Variant, or SKU).

  3. Click the “DPP: Badges” tab.

  4. Click “Claim now” on the relevant badge.

  5. Select the evidence and company.

  6. Click “+ Create claim”.

After submission, the badge will be reviewed. If approved, it will be awarded to that specific product level.

Important:

  • Badges claimed at Style level do not automatically apply to Variants or SKUs.

  • If your webshop uses SKU-level identifiers, the SKU must have the badge awarded at SKU level in order for it to appear in the webshop widget.

  • QR codes typically link to Style-level DPPs. If a badge exists only on the Style but not on the SKU, it may appear in the QR code view but not in the webshop widget.

Via Your Company Profile (Applies to All Products)

If you want a badge to apply to all products under your company:

  1. Enter your company profile via the company name in the upper right corner.

  2. Go to the “Badges” tab.

  3. Click “+ Claim a badge”.

  4. Select a badge.

  5. Click “+ Create”.

  6. Add badge details such as title, display picture, description, and supporting proof.

  7. Click “Save & Request”.

Once approved, the badge will be activated and applied to your products where applicable.

Important: Company-level badges are only shown in the widget once they have been manually claimed and approved.

Automatic Badge Triggering

Some badges are automatically triggered based on:

  • Valid certificates

  • Supplier certifications

  • Network documentation

  • Approved proofs

If certificates expire, associated badges will be removed automatically.

If a new certificate is uploaded, badges must be recalculated to restore eligibility.

Audits do not trigger badges.

Important Notes About Suppliers

  • Manually claimed supplier badges are not shown in end-consumer communication. Only automatically triggered supplier badges are considered.

  • Suppliers cannot see awarded badges for your products.

  • Suppliers cannot claim badges for your products.

Recalculating Badges

If badges are not visible in your QR code or webshop widget, you may need to recalculate badges based on the status of all network certificates and proofs.
