Which relationship types are available and how are they defined?
Relationship Type | Retraced Definition |
Branch | A company can consists of multiple branches representing fully or partially function operational units. Branches do not necessarily be involved in production/manufacturing processes but marketing or other business development non production activities. |
Direct Supplier | A direct supplier is a partner with whom your company is directly conducting business with. This includes contracted manufacturing/production partners. |
Facility | Facilities are buildings, pieces of equipment, or services that are provided for a particular purpose.” Sometimes, manufacturing processes are done in the production facilities owned by the company, but they can be outsourced to separately owned firms. |
Indirect Supplier | A indirect supplier can be identified as the source where the direct supplier gets its materials/components from. |
Licensee | A licensee is an entity that has been granted legal permission by your/another company (who owns certain assets) to engage in activities related to these assets. For example, using your brand on their products. |
Licensee - Manufacturer | A licensee manufacturer is an entity that has been granted legal permission to resell purchased goods/services that another party owns or controls. |
Licensee - Vendor | A licensee vendor is an entity that has been granted legal permission to resell purchased goods/services that another party owns or controls. |
Subcontractor | A subcontractor is doing partial work of a contract that is originally received by another company. Here, subcontracting work can range from cutting to packing. |
Subsidiary | A subsidiary company is a separate and distinct legal entity from its parent/holding company. |
Vendor | A vendor purchases goods/services and resells them to consumers/other businesses. |
How to set up the relationship type status in your network?
Go into your network overview.
Hover over the "Not set" in the relationship type tab for the respective supplier you would like to define the relationship.
Click the pencil icon.
Select an option.
