When selling the product to end consumers online or in store, the product is equipped with a readable QR code, which leads after scanning to the product journey. The scanning is typically done with a smartphone (of any kind, even back to 2009). 📲

How to get the QR code for my product?

  1. Click on the 'Products' tab in the left navigation bar.

  2. Create or upload products.

  3. That's it!

Upon the creation of a new product, QR codes are automatically generated and tagged to the product. You can see it by going into the product page and to the 'QR Code' tab, or by exporting your products to Excel and accessing it via a URL.

What are the prerequisites for QR codes to work when scanned?

The following must be done so you can scan automatically generated QR codes:

  • The product is linked with a supply chain

  • 'Story Active?' for the product is toggled on

How to attach the QR tags to products?

Once you have QR codes, the next step is to attach them to your products. This can be done in several ways. The following are the most common scenarios:

  • Printed directly into the fabric

  • Put on a placeholder hang tag

  • Printed on a hang tag which is attached to the product

  • Put onto a box or package where the product is placed into

How to verify the process?

Once a tag has been scanned and is registered successfully, test it by simply using your phone camera and scanning the QR code. Your phone will prompt you if you want to open the browser to inspect the product's journey. 🗺️
