Update an expired certification

A step-by-step guide on how to update a certificate that has expired.

  1. Go to the ‘Certifications’ tab in the navigation bar.

  2. Click on the expired certification you'd like to update.

  3. Click on ‘Update Certification’ next to the pencil button on the right side of the screen.

  4. Ensure that the certification and company you want to upload to is correct.

  5. Click the ‘+Create claim’ button.

  6. Now your claim is in draft mode, where you can modify and input the certification details. Fill out all applicable fields that you can retrieve from the certificate, including the document and license number, issue and expiration date, and by which company it was issued by.

  7. Upload the file (with maximum size of 100MB).

  8. Click the ‘Save & Request’ button for us to review it for approval.

💡 After updating a certification, expired versions are automatically stored in Versions History, found on the respective certification page below Claim Details and Other Active Versions.
